Twilight

Pure crap. Until chapter 17...
I had to force myself through the first 347 pages of this book hoping something more interesting than the discussion of Edward's pale skin and icy lips would come along. About two-thirds of the way into the book, it finally did. After this, I couldn't put it down. A real thriller...after you dig through the obsessive, "I watch you when you sleep" garbage.

i totally agree. these books are like....

french fries.

so bad they're good.

i also got sick of edwards pale skin, and his silver volvo, and the descriptions of his uber hot family.

Just wait for the next one. I am 424 of 563 into New Moon, and it is all crap till Chapter 15. It's all "there's a whole inside me and I can't speak his name, or think about him, or I will just explode." Then it gets REALLY good.

it is better I think if you listen to it. Some how the audio books make it just a little bit better.

WHAT!?!?!? These are my favorite books. Infact, I dream of Edward. I don't understand what is wrong with your copy. Her new book "The Host" is not very good, but the twilight series are the greatest. I am on the countdown for book number four.

Oh yeah. It's bad. I have issues with all the talking about how beautiful Edward is too. but I also think Bella is a poor heroine. She bothers me. She has no real personality, skills, hobbies, nothing. She's just a klutz. And so I have a hard time with the love story cuz It's like all Edward "loves" her for is cuz she smells good and he vants to suck her blooooood. and why would a 200+ year old man want to hang out with such a whiney boring teenager? Bella really bugs. and the writing struggled. But I have to admit, I read all three. they're an easy read so it was kind of fun.

Hi, I stubbled on your blog through Morom Child Bride, and I was so glad to hear others who have the same opinion on Twilight as I do! I never could get far enough along in that book to make it worth while. Everyone told me it was lame until about 2/3 through, so I decided it wasn't worth my time to get there. I viewed Bella as kind-of a bird-like character and coulnd't understand why Edward was attracted to her. Not only that, but the author's description on Edward made him sound creepy looking, not hot. I even tried to read book reviews to see if anyone felt the same way I did, but everyone I read said "This is the best book EVER," so I thought maybe my literary tastes were crap. Glad to know others agree. I'll still probably never read her books.

Hallelujah. I'm here through Stephanie too. I just read it last week. I had to read it or risk being stoned to death by the women in my ward.

I... didn't get it. Really. It was meh. Bella was annoying and had no personality. I really didn't get what Edward saw in her, at all. Once we found out he wanted to eat her, I was kind of hoping he would just go ahead and do it and put me out of my misery.

I got so tired of hearing about his topaz eyes. I just didn't think the whole "I want to suck your blood so bad" thing was all that romantic. And I didn't think it really got better. I've never understood the whole vampire fiction mileu though. Well. Except for Buffy and Angel who, let's face it, are AWESOME.

Wow. I guess I had some FEELINGS about that. Thanks for letting me spill them here on your blog :>

Found your blog...not sure how. Thought you'd like to know that I am not a lover of the books either. Kindred spirits!!

Here's where I tell you how I really feel:
