Meet Bernina

I got this gorgeous piece of machinery for Christmas from my parents. I'm sort of teaching myself how to sew with the help of my mom-in-law. My first project? A quilt for my nephew-to-be. We'll see how it turns out. With Bernina's help, I'm sure it will be beautiful.
Now, whenever we go out shopping and I see something I like, Spencer will tell me "You could make that." Then I remind him that so far, I've sewn rectangles together in a straight line. I don't think I'm ready to make myself a pair of khaki's yet, but thanks for the encouragement babe.
