This morning I pounded the streets of Salt Lake City with Lisa as we ran the Salt Lake 1/2 Marathon. Jessica played paparazzi and did a fantastic job. She deserves an Oscar or whatever one of those big awards are (can you tell I don't follow celebrities or their awards?). She bounced around the race taking all kinds of photos.
At 1900 South & 1100 East by my work (American Lung Association in Utah). Jess overheard someone say that ALAU should be out cheering the runners on. Did they not sense my presence?
At the finish line. Despite the time in the picture, my official time was 2:11:06. My goal was 2:20:00.
Jess, Lisa and I after the race. Can you tell that I was relieved to be done, cause I was?
My sweet mother came down to the Gateway to cheer me on as I finished. Thanks, Mom! You are the sweetest mom a son could ask for.
On Foothill Drive about 1.5 miles into the race
Well there you have it. I finished without having to have the paramedics help me and Lisa somehow sucked me into running the Ragnar Relay in June. Man alive! No rest for the weary.

Wow Spencer! That's awesome! Congratulations...I think this is the next thing on my list of stuff to try. I'll have to get a few pointers from ya. Good luck in June!
Kudos, Spence! That first pic of you at 1.5 miles is about where I would've clocked out. I'm tres impressed - with your running AND with Jess's pictures.
Yay! I'm glad it went well. I was thinking about you guys yesterday. What a perfect day for a run!
Yay! That is so cool that you guys did that! I am so not a runner. But the marathon did make our trip to the temple that morning a very interesting one!
