Mac vs. PC

Why are Mac people always so arrogant? The majority of Mac users I know (not everyone) make it a point to let me know they are "Mac People." (As if I would think less of them otherwise.) Well congratulations.
I've used both Macs and PCs. I enjoy both Macs and PCs. Honestly, I will use whatever is sitting in front of me. I don't feel the need to call my friends and berate them for using a PC instead of a Mac, or vice versa.
In my experience, it is a one way street. PC users are generally friendly and accepting of both "types of users." Not so in the Mac world.
And now, to make matters worse, the Mac ads that are on TV only fuel my fire. Instead of just flaunting the good features a Mac has to offer, it points out all the bad things about PCs.
I own a PC. I feel like if I were to buy a Mac, I would have to start eating organic food, stop shopping at Target, put one of those apple stickers on my car and attend annual Mac rallys. It would have to be a total lifestyle make over.
Sorry Mac, I don't think I have the time and energy to join your team.

LOL. I think the ads are hilarious, but I do understand your feelings. I currently have a PC and both my colleagues and husband have Macs...I catch a lot of flack for it. Anytime it takes me longer to boot up or if my computer crashes, they are right on me rubbing my face in it. :) I did just write about how I want a Mac though on my blog, mostly because you reminded me. If I switch I'll try not to be too sassy. :)

Working in both worlds as I completely disagree. I think PC user are just complacent. That is why they are friendly or appear that way. I believe there are a lot of Mac users out there that do say...."oh you have problems...get a Mac..." And in most case I would say the same thing. I grew up using a PC I know how to use them. I can do anything I need to on a PC and I am ok with it. Then I got in to college started using Mac's in the computer lab and said to myself...I was tried just like everyone else of my computer crashing every 3 months and having to reinstall everything all the time. That is when I switched and after a few months I said "why are PC's not this easy to do all this stuff?" Mac have got a bad wrap with the whole Hippy vibe, save the trees! With a little history you might also learn a little more about there Commercials. Microsoft talked bad about Macs (think 80's Mac commericals look on youTube) for a very long time and almost created a Monopoly in the computer world with his walmart buissness practices. Steve Jobs got hired and the iPod was born that brought the Apple out of the obscurity. Well sadly he decided to fight Fire with Fire and here we are today. I hate to say it but we are just in the middle of it. It is sad that companies have to resort to tactics like that to get people to try a product it has worked so I dont think it will end anytime soon. 2 Years ago Apple had 7% of the Market now they have 18%+

PS I think there are going to be a lot of crazy comments with this post. I dont want to offend anyone just want to give a little bit more prospective on the matter. I dont agree with people shoving it in anyones face.

I grew up on a mac, so changing to the PC in school was hard. But College used PC's so coming back to a mac when I got married was hard. Now I use a PC at work and a Mac at home. I am fully competent in both. If I had a choice of one to use all the time, it would be a Mac. I like what they can do.

I am sorry you have met so many Mac snobs. I have come across the same with PC's.
