Pacific Northwest

We just returned from a fabulous journey though Oregon and Washington. It is such a beautiful time of year to travel and see spring blooming everywhere!
The journey began in Portland with Spence, Mom, Dad and myself. It was a quick stop, but it was fun to drive around the city and get a feel for it. We enjoyed a delicious lunch there and browsed some shops.
Next up was Seaside. Our condo was right on the beach. This was on our balcony.
We also visited Cannon Beach on the Oregon coast. It was an absolutely adorable little town full of shops and boutiques with enough charm to last you a lifetime. It was so fun to wander around main street. My favorite store was Bruce's Candy Kitchen. My goodness...the moment you stepped through the doors, that delicious candy smell surrounded you. You can't get much better than that!
Here we are at Haystack Rock from the Goonies. Apparently this was a big deal...(I've never seen The Goonies, but none the less, still cool.)

Dinner at Cranky Sue's. This place received two big thumbs up from all of us for delicious seafood (and Spence for the chili cheese dog)!

This car was parked outside Cranky Sue's. Have truer words ever been spoken?

We also spent a day wandering around Seaside and flying a kite on the beach!Next up was a gorgeous drive up the coast into Washington, then on to Seattle!

Spence and Dad at Pike Place Market. I don't think Spence was pleased with the fish smell. What a cool market though! I only wish I lived in Seattle so I could take advantage of all the fresh fish, the gorgeous flowers, and the fruits and veggies!

We went on a harbour boat tour of Elliott Bay, which was interesting and cold!

Dan and Justin were nice enough to take Spence and I out for a night. We went to dinner and ate some delicious Chinese food, then played Settlers of Katan at Dan's. Thanks for a fun night! It was great to see you guys! Check out this view!

Unfortunately, this is the point in the trip when my camera card decided to fill up. My mom has the rest of the trip on her camera. But to recap, we also visited Snoqualmie Falls and had a lovely little hike down to the bottom of it! And to top it all off, a wonderful shopping trip to the Westlake shopping center.

Thanks Dad and Taupey Coco for tagging along with us on our journey through the Northwest! We had a blast!

What a great trip!

Oh, and Goonies is a classic...it's like Star Wars. You've got to rent it.

What? You haven't seen Goonies!!! How did that happen? You are truly missing out my friend. We own it, you have to borrow it. Better yet, come watch it on the big screen for the full experience.

You guys always get to go on fun trips. I am really jealous. So, Cody decided we need to go private, but I don't have your email... email me and I will add you if you would like.
